Certified MarkThe AENOR Mark for certified products or services is proof that such products comply with the UNE standards that specify the characteristics to be met by those products. In the event of the absence of UNE standards, the mark indicates conformity with European and international standards, or technical specifications.

The AENOR Mark for certified service is proof that a service complies with standards describing quality levels in rendering that service. This shows that the products and services that have been awarded this mark have been subject to the evaluations and controls set forth in the certification systems, and that AENOR has obtained adequate assurance with respect to their conformity with the pertinent standards.

Any manufacturer or manufacturer's representative may request the awarding of a certificate for the products it supplies or the services it renders, regardless of whether or not the manufacturing plant is located in Spain or in any other country.

For a product or service to be certified, they must pass certain evaluation tests, such as:

  • A check on the quality system applied in manufacturing the product or providing the service
  • Product sampling & test, or
  • Service inspection.

The above inspections and tests are used to verify the characteristics of the products or services and whether they comply with the requirements of the standard.

The awarding of the AENOR product or service certificate is usually controlled through Technical Certification Committees (TCC), forums at which manufacturers, service-operating companies, consumers, users and the Administration are all represented, thereby guaranteeing the impartiality and transparency of the certification process.

The operation of the TCC must at all times comply with the requirements of the UNE-EN 45000 group of standards.
