The IAQG (International Aerospace Quality Group) has developed specific requirements that are published in standards AS/EN/JISU 9100, AS/EN/JISU 9110 and AS/EN/JISU 9120. Based on these standards, IAQG, AECMA and ATECMA have established a certification mechanism that is recognised all over the world known as the "Other Party" scheme. This recognition is achieved when a company is registered in an international database known as "OASIS", which opens up the doors to the global aerospace market. This enables manufacturers and suppliers in the aerospace sector to operate in accordance with a series of quality requirements that are specific and common to all of them.
The respective scopes of these standards are: AS/EN/JISU 9100 for aeronautical component manufacturing activities; AS/EN/JISU 9110 for aeronautical maintenance activities and AS/EN/JISU 9120 for storage and distribution of aeronautical material.
Although the 9100 series standards are based on the ISO 9001, they provide a specific focus for companies in the aerospace sector, depending on the scope of their activity, adding further requirements and extensions to their provisions, and placing emphasis on the safety and reliability of aerospace products.
This certification also includes the issuing of the AENOR Registered Firm certificate, and a license to use the AENOR Registered Firm Mark.
