UNE 166001:2002 EX Standard is the reference standard for defining, documenting and developing R+D+I projects and also includes aspects related to project management and the ensuing use of the results.
There are two types of Certification of R+D+I Projects:
Compliance of the project is determined based on UNE 166001 standard and the R+D+I content of the project is established through a technical report in accordance with the Corporation Tax Law.
In addition to what is included in type one above an audit is performed to verify the project execution.
AENOR is the certifying entity accredited by ENAC for the certification of R+D+I projects. This certification enables companies to obtain a justified report from the Ministry of Science and Technology that is binding on the Treasury (Royal Decree 1432/2003, OSG November 29 2003 and additional provision eleven of Act 32/2003, OSG dated November 4 2003).
